ITINERARY
Our tour to Chauchilla cemetery is specially recommended in the mornings after your flight over the Nazca lines. The tour starts by picking you up from your hotel. We have a 40 minutes bus drive along a paved but dusty road. The cemetery is an extraordinary pre-Inca cemetery, looted by the treasure hunters, who destroyed all tombs taking away ceramic pieces, textiles, gold, silver vessels and the mummy’s parts such us bones, skulls and skeletons with more than 1000 years of age. Also there are still many more original mummies with long braids in their hair and children’s mummies in original tombs protected and preserved by the authorities.
On the way back we visit a beautiful factory of ceramics and metal. Afterwards we return to the hotel.
