Manuel is the owner of Andes Dream Travel and your personal guide. Manuel has many years of experience and knowledge of tourism in Peru, speaks fluent English, Spanish and Quechua (native Incan language), and will accompany you throughout your visit of his country. Manuel comes from a very large family of 9 siblings living in poverty on the outskirts of Cusco. He started to work in order to help feed his family when he was 5 years old; getting up at 4 A.M. every morning to go to the bakery to collect bread to sell to the small shops and on the street until 7 A.M. cause at that time Manuel would have to go to school. When he was 9 years old Manuel became independent from his family and started to pay for his own education. This was because his father wanted him to start working as a constructor, but Manuel wanted to keep on learning and studying to ensure his education to escape from the poverty which he had been brought up in.

Every day Manuel would get up at 4 A.M. and, not having enough money for the bus into the city, he would run all the way to school, arriving in time to start at 7 A.M. Manuel continued his education studying business administration and earning his tourism degree. Manuel is now one of the most popular, busiest, and highest regarded tour leaders in Cusco. He received help from a number of people over the years and Manuel has never forgotten this. This is why he has plans to build a school for disadvantaged children that do not have the educational opportunities that other children have, just like Manuel when he was as a child.
