1. – Manuel greetings from David & Avril Brampton.

We arrived back safely in England with many happy memories of our holiday in Peru. We both wish to thank you very much for the way you told us, in particular, about the Inca and pre Inca periods. The visit to the Sacred Valley and Ollantaytambo was brought alive because of what you told us.

Your knowledge and enthusiasm are a credit to you. We both wish we could remember more of what you told us.

Your encouragement during the short hike from Km104 to Machu Picchu was more than expected and you helped make that hike much more interesting by showing us flowers, birds and other non Inca subjects.

Of course a big thanks you for helping Avril when her knee locked. That was a frightening experience but you got us through it.

We also compliment you on the excellent tour of Machu Picchu you gave us.

We both with you will in the future we feel sure your knowledge and manner will be a big advantage for you in the future.

Best wishes

David & Avril Brampton

3. – Hello Manuel

I hope you will find some photos attached -remember the sunrise on the snow capped mountains?

We enjoyed our trekking with you so very much. Although 1000′s of miles away now, it is still very much in our minds. We were honored to spend time with you and your team and will never ever forget it. We have 100′s of photos to remind us it really did happen! We have a tremendous sense of achievement too, mostly due to you looking after us!

We spent a few days in Bolivia after parting which was a good contrast with the Andes. But we are very relieved now to be breathing oxygen rich air!

I hope you managed to collect pens etc from Novo hotel and to put them to good use!

If ever anyone wants to approach us for a reference or to talk about doing the trail with you, please feel free to pass on our mail address. We would be pleased to recommend you.

Best wishes to your “soul mate” -I’m sure she was glad to get you home again!

Our best wishes to you! Love to hear from you sometime!

4. – Dear Manuel

I have been feeling so privileged to have been to Peru, more privileged to have walked in the Andes, and then to have walked to Machu Pichu with you as our guide.

I have taken many pictures – of flowers – of people – of Inca stones and buildings and scenery and they are extraordinary. You live in an amazing place. What an office!

Somehow one cannot be in Peru and not be affected by the graciousness of the people we met, the colors, the skills and the work ethic – especially our porters. They are really and truly amazing.

Thank you very much indeed for all your patience and kindness and care of us – we all returned home in good nick. We were so cared for all the way.

My knees are stronger than when I left home! Thank you.

Best wishes to you and to the porters.

Lily Mitchell.

5. – Dear Manuel

OK, now in English. Hope you are well, Manuel. We had a really great time with you and Evin, and hope to see you soon. The people in Peru are SO nice and friendly. It made me happy to meet such nice people. There is a saying (expression), I do not know how to translate, but here is the expression in English: “The more you know about the world, the more you know about yourself.” (El más sabe sobre del mundo, el más sabe sobre a tu mismo?) Anyways, thanks for being so nice. And please say hello to Evin, and Milagros tambien. Hasta la próxima vez.

6.- Dear Manuel

Thanks for all of your help.  The package arrived safely in Lima and we were able to get it onto the plane in the baggage compartment without having to pay any more for it. It was a pleasure to meet you in Cusco.  We hope to see you again when we next return to Peru .

Best regards,

Bruce and Sally.

7. – Dear Manuel

It’s your long lost friend Senora Del Bano!  I hope all is well with you.  Mommie, Hermana and me are missing Peru and the fun experience we had with you and the guides on the Inca Trail.  We were very depressed for about a month when we returned.  In fact, when I first looked at the pictures I cried.  It was very hard to adjust back to everyday life.  Now I’m just dreaming of my next vacation.  Mine will be in Mexico with my husband in April.  I’m finally taking him somewhere :) .  Then we are going to Saint Martin in the Caribbean in June and finally Italy in August.  If you every get the chance to come visit the US, you always have a place to stay with the three of us.

By the way, the Galapagos were beautiful, but we really enjoyed our trip to Peru the most.  In fact, our guide in the Galapagos was old and annoying.  He liked to hear himself talk.  We definitely want to return to Peru and visit everyone and see more of the country.

Let me know how everything is going with you.  If you finished your website, please let me know the address and I’ll take a look.

I better go.  I have to go to the bathroom!
